Ride Requirements

To ensure you enjoy your ride with us as much as possible, we ask that you ensure your bike is serviced and ready.  The terrain we cover varies from rocks, red clay, pine forest, sand, rivers to firetrails.

Some areas are very remote with little access. Carrying a small part may prevent a very long tow or push.

We ask before you ride with us you carry a few spares and the tools to fit those spares. There is no guarantee somebody will be riding the same bike as yours. What we ask you to purchase is not over the top, just some basic spares which you would probably already have.

  • Spare clutch and brake lever.

  • Spark plug.

  • Spare chain link.

  • Spare front tube (or appropriate plug kit if running Tubliss)

  • A small assortment of specific bolts to suit your bike.

  • CAMELBACK/BACKPACK WITH AT LEAST 2L OF WATER

Prior to attending your first ride we ask that you have heavy duty tubes installed in the front and back wheels of your motor cycle. You have to specify these and ensure it is what your getting. Alternatively, well maintained Tubliss systems or Mousse tubes work well. If you plan on doing anything greater that a level 2 ride you will require full off road knobby tyres. Not dual sport or road going tyres. Please ensure that your wheel bearings are in good condition.

If in doubt and you're not mechanically minded, have a mechanic check your bike prior to ensure it is good working order or get in touch with one of us here at the club and we will organise to assist you prior to attending a ride.
